We hope all you dads/father figures had a wonderful father’s day and loved the special gift that your child made for you. As you probably have noticed, we have changed a few things in our room – we are no longer doing our daily diary entries, opting to display pictures of the children on the wall with a little blurb underneath instead.
Most of the children now recognise their names on their placemats and flashcards and we are now helping the children learn their surnames. We sing the song “Bee bee bumblebee, won’t you say your name to me” – some of the children already know their surnames, while others are in the process of recognition. It would be wonderful if you could practice this with your child at home.
With the warmer weather approaching, we will be spending more time outdoors. While most children have their hats in the basket, if your child does not have one, please bring one in.
We are in the process of setting up an “office” area for the children in our room. If anyone has any old laptops, computers, keyboards or calculators that you no longer require, please bring them in.
