We would like to wish Georgia a magical 3rd birthday and say a farewell to our friend Jude who has left the duckling’s room; he will be missed by all his friends and educators.
The children have been busy making animal masks during our arts and craft time. These masks are being exhibited in the corridor outside our room. Please have a look while they are on display.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed dressing up in the wonderful dress ups that we have, some even wearing them home because they couldn’t leave them behind. Thanks go to Sue for bringing them in.
The car play area is still very popular with the children, driving to many places around Melbourne.
Sing along books such as Down by the Station and Count along Songs have been very popular and are listened to many times throughout the day. Molly’s Jolly Brolly, My Pirate Ship, I do it and Not so small after all have been the favourite story books of the month.
If you child has a favourite story books at home you are most welcome to bring in so we can read to all the children.
As the warmer weather approaches we ask all parents to adhere to the centre Sun Smart Policy [Derby Street Enrolment Handbook – Page 9] and bring in hats for their children and also for the children to wear t-shirts not singlets.
The children are loving being in the great outdoors and helping educators care for our garden. We would like to thank the children for their enthusiasm and support in the up keep of the yard. If any family has any plants, off cuts or herb off cuts to donate we would be greatly appreciative or if any family has some time to send planting some plants with the children this is more than welcome also.
Please be patient with us as we very slowly upgrade our fish tanks. We aim to have a new lid and some new fish friends very soon, we are also thinking about purchasing some sea snails for the aquarium also.
Thank You
Sue, Heidi and Brooke
